Cabbage Pakoda


1 cup cabbage, chopped
1 large onion, sliced
1/2 tsp garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp ginger, chopped
3 green chillies, chopped
few curry leaves, chopped
1/4 tsp chilli powder
a pinch of turmeric powder
3/4-1 cup gram flour/ kadalapodi
2 tbsp rice flour

  1. In a bowl, add chopped cabbage, onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  2. Add gram flour and rice flour to this and mix well to form medium thick paste by adding little water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, drop little batter using spoon or hand and deep fry till golden and crisp. 
  4. Remove from flame and serve hot with tea...

  1. Yum! I never know how to cook cabbage so it isn't BORING. This looks like the perfect solution!
